Wendy Ring, New Way In's Director, has thirty years experience working with ex-offenders. Wendy is available to Employment Agencies, Rehabilitation Counselors, State and Local Corrections Agencies, and Social Services Agencies to consult about assisting ex-offenders secure and maintain employment.

• New  Way In assists with the following at no cost to eligible participants:
  • Identification Problems:
    • Solving ex-offenders' problems in acquiring proper identification essential to searching for employment.
  • Employment Development:
    • Job seeking skills
    • Preparing job applications
    • Sharpening interviewing skills
    • When to disclose a felony conviction to a prospective employer
    • Résumé Development
  • Support Systems:
    • Federal Bonding Program
    • Work Opportunity Tax Credit
    • Job Retention Counseling

New Way In offers these services to Ingham, Eaton and Clinton (Michigan) counties. It is available on a fee for service basis to other localities upon request.
